Colo. GOP seeks Romanoff records from Ritter

The Colorado Republican Party has sent a state open records request to Gov. Bill Ritter’s office, asking for anything related to conversations about job offers to keep Andrew Romanoff out of the Democratic Senate primary.

Ritter said in a recent radio interview that he tried helping Romanoff find a job, but long before Romanoff announced in Sept. 2009 that he would challenge appointed Sen. Michael Bennet for the seat. Bennet has also acknowledged that he knew the White House was talking to Romanoff about his interest in a federal job, but has said he had no influence on the discussions. - Read More -
