Colorado lost 62,600 jobs in the 2000's

Colorado has lost 62,600 private-sector jobs in the first decade of the 21st century -- 3.38 percent of the total.

That's according to an analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data covering 2000 to 2010.

Colorado had 1,853,200 jobs in May 2000 and 1,790,600 in May 2010, Thomas reports. Its peak May of the decade was 2008, with 1,967,200 jobs; its low was May 2003, with 1,781,000 jobs. Read More -
