Ken Buck apologizes

Republican Senate candidate Ken Buck has apologized for remarks he made a decade ago that led to a reprimand he received for discussing a case as a federal prosecutor.

"I'm certainly not proud of it," Buck told The Denver Post, which reported on the reprimand Thursday. "In context, it was a mistake I made, and I've done a lot of good things."

Buck, who is the current Weld County district attorney, was an assistant U.S. attorney in 2000 who decided not to pursue charges against an Aurora pawnshop under investigation for possible weapons crimes. When the case was revived, Buck told a defense attorney he knew that prosecutors had doubts about the case. Read More -
