The majority could shift in either or both chambers of the Colorado General Assembly, and heads of both major parties said races in Southeastern Colorado are key to whether Democrats or Republicans will be the ruling party in the Legislature when it reconvenes in January.
Democrats hold the advantage in the House (37-27, with one unaffiliated representative) and the Senate (21-14).
Republicans would need to win six seats while maintaining each that they hold now to control the House. In the Senate, the GOP needs a net gain of four seats to wrest the majority from the Democrats. - More -
