Cory Gardner, the GOP candidate running in Colorado's 4th district, returned political contributions from Rep. Joe Barton's political action committee last month, following the Arlington lawmaker's much-maligned apology to BP.The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports that Gardner returned a $1,000 donation by Barton's Texas Freedom Fund at the end of June.
Barton's Texas Freedom Fund has given $63,000 candidates to Republican candidates in this election cycle. The PAC has more than $100,000 in cash on hand as of June 30.
