Republican Scott McInnis could be asked to abandon his run for governor as soon as This afternoon from Democrats in the wake of the candidate's apparent plagiarism and possible fraud.
The Denver Post first reported that essays submitted for publication by McInnis appear to include passages that were plagiarized from another source without attribution.
McInnis received $300,000 from the Malik and Seeme Hasan Foundation to author a series of articles on water as part of a two-year fellowship from 2005-06.
"I was thrilled to do it. I got paid to do it," McInnis told KHOW's Craig Silverman in a recent interview when he was asked about the articles. "That's pretty sweet." - More –
