For GOP voters, the choice is between former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton and Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck.
Norton is the better choice. Her more applicable experience in state government and with health care give her the edge.
Norton was lieutenant governor in the administration of Gov. Bill Owens. Under presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, she was in charge of a six-state region for the federal Department of Health and Human Services. She has also worked as a lobbyist for the Medical Group Management Association and for a short time for AARP.
In contrast, Buck's experience is principally as a government attorney - not something in short supply in Washington.
With her background in health care and state government, Norton should get the nod. – More –
