Romanoff sells home to help fund Campaign

With the primary election clock nearing midnight, Andrew Romanoff has thrown everything but the kitchen sink into his battle for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination against Michael Bennet.

Now comes the sink - along with the rest of his house.

Records filed this week with the City and County of Denver show that Romanoff sold his longtime home in the hip Washington Park neighborhood on July 23 to a company owned by Greg Geller, also known as Denver's "King of Flips."

The home was never listed on the market. The $360,000 sale price was far below the estimated market price of $429,000 for similar homes in the same area. According to Romanoff spokesman Roy Teicher, the net proceeds - around $225,000 - are largely destined for the candidate’s campaign fund.     More -
