At the end of July, the Colorado Republican Party had just $14,000 in its account for state campaigns. That doesn’t put the party at a huge disadvantage compared with Colorado Democrats, who had $17,000 in state-based funds, but it’s a noticeable drop-off since the same point in 2008, when the state GOP had banked $35,000.
Colorado GOP Chairman Dick Wadhams insisted that the party’s plan for the fall elections was proceeding apace, arguing: “Our victory program is up and running. It’s up and running much sooner and much larger than it was two years ago at this time.” - More -
