Poll: Rebublican candidates for treasurer dead even

Colorado treasurer candidate J.J. Ament has drawn even with his GOP primary challenger Walker Stapleton, according to a new Denver Post/9News poll.

In a survey of 588 likely primary voters, 39 percent favored Ament and 36 percent favored Stapleton. The margin of error was 4.1 percentage points.

Six weeks earlier, Stapleton appeared to be the clear leader — with a double-digit polling advantage and more than double the campaign cash — in the race to unseat incumbent Democrat Cary Kennedy.    – More -
