After 18 months of banner-waving protest rallies, Tea Party supporters in Colorado got a chance last Tuesday to see what real clout they have in state politics.
The answer was clear: It's substantial.
"If I think back to the start of this campaign, there were candidates that I referred to as 'annointed' and many of them aregone now," Sheldon Bloedorn, the president of the Southern Colorado Tea Party said Friday. "We replaced them with real grass-roots candidates like Dan Maes and Ken Buck. I think we've been a lot more successful than many people thought we would be." - More -
