The Denver Post has pointed out a rather interesting bit of Colorado campaign happenstance. Apparently Bennet and Tancredo, or at least their web designers, are fans of West Beckwith Mountain.
Bennet, a Democrat running for the U.S. Senate, and Tancredo, a former Republican running for governor on the American Constitution Party ticket, both have a picture of the mountain on their campaign web pages.
Bennet had his website up first. The mountain appears under a quote from Bennet: “What drives me every day is the need to provide a better future for all Colorado families.”
On Tancredo’s website, the mountain appears under the slogan “Proven leadership for Colorado.” - More –
is that important news?
ReplyDeleteIf that's a major landmark, then isn't everybody entitled to use a picture of it? Also, notice the difference in colors - hardly a copy cat thing, is it?
Look how many politicians use pictures of State and National Capitals in their websites, are we to comment on that, as well?
Commenting on this seems pretty petty and stupid to me.
Btw, I like Tancredo's picture better. A lot more colorful.
Now go back and write about something that will make a difference in people's life.
