Denver Mayor Hickenlooper brought in $403,597 during August

According to Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper's campaign, the gubernatorial candidate raised $403,597 in August. They also announced that they are budgeting $1.3 million for television advertising that will air between now and the November's election.

Hickenlooper says in his latest finance report, which was filed Tuesday, that his campaign spent almost $358,000 in August.

The report also shows Hickenlooper having more than $171,500 cash on hand at the end of the month.

Overall, Hickenlooper has raised about $2.74 million so far in the campaign.

As of Tuesday evening, the other candidates of note, Republican Dan Maes and the American Constitution Party’s Tom Tancredo had not filed reports.
