The Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce endorsed candidates for Congress, state Legislature and the Mesa County Commission.Scott Tipton, R-Cortez, who is running to represent the 3rd Congressional District; state Rep. Steve King, who is running for the state Senate, and Steve Acquafresca, who is running for a second term on the Mesa County commission.
Tipton is challenging U.S. Rep. John Salazar, D-Colo., who is seeking his fourth term in the House. King is opposed by Democrat Claudette Konola, and Acquafresca is facing a challenge from Libertarian Steve Saint.
