Magellan Poll: Survey of all Colorado state wide races

Magellan Data and Mapping Strategies has released the results of a 954N automated survey of likely general election voters in Colorado conducted August 25th and 26th. This survey has a margin of error of +/‐ 3.2%.

Colorado Governor Ballot Test

In the election for Colorado Governor, among likely voters, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper leads Republican nominee Dan Maes by 19 points, 46% to 27%, and former Congressman Tom Tancredo is third with 17%. The generic “another candidate” receives 3% support, and 7% are undecided.

Colorado Secretary of State Ballot Test

In the race for Colorado Secretary of State, Republican candidate Scott Gessler leads Democrat incumbent Bernie Buescher by 6 points, 37% to 31%, 15% support “another candidate,” and 17% are undecided.


Colorado Attorney General Ballot Test

Among all voters, incumbent Attorney General John Suthers leads Boulder District Attorney Stan Garnett by 15 points, 47% to 32%, and 21% of voters are undecided. John Suthers has a strong lead among unaffiliated voters and men, 15 points and 17 points respectively.


Colorado Treasurer Ballot Test

The Republican candidate for Treasurer, Walker Stapleton, currently has a slim four point lead on incumbent Democrat Cary Kennedy, 42% to 38%, and 20% of voters are undecided.
