Bounce the Bureaucrat

Tired of his opponent’s “gimmicky fundraising tactic,” Republican candidate for state treasurer Walker Stapleton came up with his own.

Stapleton has launched “Bounce the Bureaucrat”, an online fundraising drive in response to Democrat Cary Kennedy’s “Bust the Bonus” online fundraising drive, which she said was needed to counter Stapleton’s self-funding ability (helped along by bonuses he received as CEO of SonomaWest Holdings.)

“Just last week, our opponent thought it would be a good idea to come up with a gimmicky fundraising tactic to attack Walker for his successful career in the private sector (remember, her base thinks that’s evil),” says an email from Stapleton’s campaign. “She is reporting that her effort worked. So we’ve decided that you, our supporters, deserve a chance to engage in some good, old-fashioned competition to best her.     – More -
