American Right to Life president Bob Enyart said today that his organization will pull its endorsement of GOP Senate hopeful Ken Buck because “he’s already broken every pro-life campaign promise he’s made.”
Enyart told The Denver Post that he’s going to issue a statement to “all pro-life voters” Friday urging them not to vote for Buck because he has backtracked on a primary campaign promise that he would never vote on a Senate confirmation of anyone who is “pro-abortion.”
Buck has since said he would never use abortion as a litmus test for Senate confirmations, and he didn’t know at the time that “pro-abortion” meant “pro-choice.”
“He’s making a distinction between pro-choice and pro-abortion, which no pro-life group makes,” Enyart said. “He played us for fools and he did it successfully.” - More -
