Colorado’s Senate race most competitive in the country

Public Policy Polling cemented Colorado’s status as the most competitive Senate race in the country Monday with its release of another poll showing a dead heat.

Sen. Michael Bennet has better solidified his base while Ken Buck holds a tiny edge among independents, PPP found. Buck’s 44 percent favorable rating is four points better than Bennet’s job approval.

Just 43 percent approve of the president in the Rocky Mountain State, which is why the National Republican Senatorial Committee is up with new spot, saying “Michael Bennet’s fighting for Obama.” Bennet, meanwhile, has thrown down another half a million dollars of his own dough. Game on.
