Lt. Governor Barbara O'Brien receives Piton Fellowship

The Piton Foundation has announced that it has awarded the first Piton Fellowship to Colorado Lt. Governor Barbara O'Brien.

The fellowship is intended to encourage leaders to work in the field of philanthropy in Colorado, pursuing solutions to some of the state's most pressing challenges.

O'Brien will be concentrating on advancing Colorado's education reform agenda. The fellowship will begin in February, after the Ritter administration is out of office.

In addition to the part-time fellowship, O'Brien will be open to pursuing other professional opportunities.
