Gov. Ritter names new judge in Colorado’s 20th Judicial District

Gov. Bill Ritter announced Thursday that he has appointed Ingrid Seftar Bakke of Lafayette as a District Court judge in the 20th Judicial District, which serves Boulder County.

Bakke is currently a partner at McCormick & Kennedy in Boulder and also serves as a Municipal Court judge for the City of Lakewood. She previously has served as a chief deputy district attorney in Boulder and a deputy district attorney for Jefferson County.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado in 1985 and her law degree from the University of Denver in 1990.

The initial term of office for a District Court judge is a provisional term of two years. Thereafter, if retained by the voters, District Court judges serve six-year terms at an annual salary of $128,598.
