Scott McInnis isn’t through with politics yet

Former gubernatorial candidate Scott McInnis says he's not through with politics yet. The Republican spoke with the "Denver Post" this week, saying if the situation is right, he'll make another run for public office.

McInnis was widely expected to face off against Denver Mayor and Governor-elect John Hickenlooper in the general election, but allegations of plagiarism led to his early demise in the GOP primary.

McInnis told The "Denver Post" that the truth about the plagiarism scandal will come out in some sort of public statement within the next couple of months.

"I realize some people say you don't have any right to stand up on this — (the researcher) was an older gentleman — but we're going to clear our name," he said.
