Dick Wadhams to run again for GOP Chair

Colorado GOP Chairman Dick Wadhams will be running again for another term.

Wadhams sent an letter Tuesday to state party officials announcing that he will run for a third term at the party's central committee meeting in March.

“I want to serve as state chairman during the 2012 election cycle because of the extraordinary opportunities Colorado Republicans have to dramatically impact our state and nation,” Wadhams said in his letter.

Wadham’s faces opposition by some in the GOP who view his performance as Chairman in the last election cycle as less than adequate.

Currently, the only other announced candidates for GOP Chairman are John Wagner and Bart Baron.
