“I am a controversial figure. I have said lots of things and I mean them all,” Tancredo told a standing-room-only crowd of more than 100 people packed into a Longmont IHOP Restaurant.
Tancredo — the former Republican state lawmaker and congressman who’s now the American Constitution Party’s candidate for governor — promised that, if elected. he’d continue to be outspoken.
As governor, Tancredo said, “I know I’m going to say controversial things and do things that people will get upset about.
“But there is no other way to deal with the problems we have today, in either the United States or in the state of Colorado, without being somewhat aggressive and saying what has to be said and doing what has to be done,” he said. “Otherwise, you’d just be taking up space.” - More -
