Coffman endorses GOP treasurer hopeful Walker Stapleton

Congressman Mike Coffman, Tuesday, gave his endorsement to GOP treasurer hopeful and real estate company executive Walker Stapleton means each Republican candidate vying for the statewide job has a former treasurer in his corner.

Republican investment banker J.J. Ament earned the endorsement of former Gov. Bill Owens, who also served as treasurer.

Stapleton and Ament face off in the Aug. 10 primary for the chance to challenge Democratic incumbent Cary Kennedy for the treasurer’s seat, which has proven a frequent launching pad to higher office   – More -
