Bennet: Kagan’s experience and intellect will add perspective and depth to Supreme Court

Colorado Senator Michael Bennet announced Tuesday that he would be voting in support of Solicitor General Elena Kagan’s nomination to serve on the United States Supreme Court:

Sen. Bennet said that, “I was impressed with her intellect, demeanor and accomplished résumé. She demonstrated a pragmatic, non-ideological perspective and a firm grasp of how the law affects the lives of the American people.”

Bennet is the second of Colorado’s two Senators to announce his support for Kagan. Sen. Mark Udall said last Friday that he will also vote to confirm.
