Colorado's Senate primary race makes front page of USA Today

Colorado Senate primary race got the front page headline in USA Today on Monday.

Pointing out that some consider Colorado "the nation's new bellwether" when it comes to the country's political climate, the Senate race with its two heated primaries is given extensive coverage.

The article tracks the rise of Republican Ken Buck, darling of the Tea Party movement, and how he has made a move to appear more moderate in recent months while his popularity has jumped. It states that opponent Jane Norton meanwhile has been trying to appear more like a hard-line conservative.

The Democratic primary between incumbent Sen. Michael Bennet and Andrew Romanoff is also called "uneasy," in part because of the split endorsements of presidents -- Clinton for Romanoff and Obama for Bennet.   More
