
Responding to the allegations of plagiarism, McInnis said, “this whole thing has been blown way out of proportion due to the nature of politics.” He added, “We made a statement on the allegations last week and we are moving forward, its’ business as usual.”
When asked if he was definitely continuing his campaign, McInnis said, “I absolutely will not drop out of the race” and “I have resumed a full campaign schedule.” The candidate then added, “The people of Colorado are scared. They’re more concerned about the real issues affecting them, like losing their jobs or finding employment.”
When questioned about his thoughts on last Friday’s Rasmussen poll that showed Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper ahead by 2-points, McInnis said that they are not worried about the poll and are thrilled by the numbers.
The Rasmussen poll has a four-point margin of error.
