Maes has a three-point plan for Colorado

Dan Maes, who is competing against Scott McInnis for the Republican votes for Colorado governor, visited Sterling on Wednesday..

Maes talked about his three-point plan for Colorado. Part of his plan includes lowering costs by shrinking government. As an example of this, he noted that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has been slashing New Jersey’s budget since he showed up.

Another part of his plan includes bringing back businesses in the energy industry that have left Colorado and gone to other states.

The other part of his plan is lowering taxes. Maes said, “Republicans are supposed to be about smaller government and lower taxes, but all we get is hot air from them when they go off to Washington and Denver.” Maes added “It’s time that we Republicans, if you indeed are one, go back to being the Republicans we’re supposed to be; the Republicans of Lincoln and the Republicans of Reagan.”             - More -
