How does previously announced lieutenant guv hopeful Doug "Dayhorse" Campbell feel about being dumped from the ticket by Tancredo? Very good, thank you.
"We told Tom at the time we were talking with him about joining the American Constitution Party that we wanted him to be comfortable in the campaign, and that we would seriously consider anybody he wanted to suggest as an alternative to myself," Campbell says. "I told him I'd be more than happy to run with him, but if he wanted to bring somebody else into the picture, we would certainly consider that."
"I've known Pat Miller since, I think, the first time she ran for the House in Colorado," he points out -- twenty years, since Miller served one term as a state rep from 1990 until 1992. "And I became very disgruntled with the Republican Party as a result of their reaction to her second run. They considered her to be too conservative for their liking and actually endorsed her Democrat opponent, which I thought was intolerable -- and that caused me to find the Constitution Party, which at that time was known as the Taxpayers Party. I decided to switch over and help them build and grow." - More -
