Teachers union kills Colorado’s “Race To The Top” chance

The Colorado Education Association, the state's largest teacher's union, did not endorse the round two application after the contentious passage of Senate Bill 191 on the legislature's final day in May.

"It was obvious that the Colorado Education Association, CEA, and some  school districts worked hard to make sure Colorado did not win Race to the Top," said Van Schoales, the executive director of Education Reform Now.
