Ensminger to be next Teller County Sheriff

Republican candidate Michael Ensminger will be following in the footsteps of Teller County Sheriff Kevin Dougherty, who couldn't run for office again because of term limits. Ensminger will be uncontested during the November general election to take over as Teller County Sheriff.

Ensminger beat out his opponent Mark Manriquez in the recent the primary election. The retired San Diego sheriff's deputy plans to run an office honestly and openly, with a sort of transparency he believes is necessary. “We want to come across to the community as a neighbor," said Ensminger. “That’s where we need to be at this date and time in our environment."      - More -
