Romanoff: Forget all that stuff I said about Bennet, he’s really a great guy!

Andrew Romanoff doesn't have much time to get over his primary night defeat.

Less than 48 hours after conceding Colorado's Democratic U.S. Senate race to Sen. Bennet, Romanoff will have to appear on the Capitol's West Steps with the incumbent he spent the last several months attacking on the campaign trail.

DNC Chair Tim Kaine, the former Virginia governor, will headline what's being billed as a "Unity Rally", set to take place Thursday at noon.

Sen. Mark Udall, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter, Lt. Gov. Barbara O'Brien, House Speaker Terrance Carroll and Colorado Treasurer Cary Kennedy are among a slew of prominent Democrats planning to appear at what amounts to a carefully chorerographed photo-op, aiming to show a party that's united and ready to fight to defend its seats against Republican challenges this fall.

Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, now the Democratic candidate for governor, will not participate.     More -
