State Rep. Lambert readies immigration legislation

A Colorado Springs lawmaker has taken the first steps toward introducing a bill in the Colorado General Assembly that was inspired by Arizona’s controversial crackdown on illegal immigration.

State Rep. Kent Lambert, R-Colorado Springs, has reserved a bill title for the proposal, and Legislative Legal Services is in the process of reviewing its drafted form. Lambert said he is confident it will meet the legal threshold to reach the Legislature when it resumes in January, despite claims from critics that the Arizona law is unconstitutional.   More -
