Wadhams is dealing with an impossible situation in the state's open governor's race. Former Rep. Scott McInnis's plagiarism charges came at the worst possible juncture - too late to recruit someone else into the primary, and too early for McInnis to drop out, because then little-known and underfunded candidate Dan Maes would be the party's nominee.
On top of it all, the state GOP is strapped for cash, and Wadhams has the added headache of the new third-party candidacy of former Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo. – More –
