Denver District Court Judge William Hood is expected to submit a ruling this morning as to whether or not Tom Tancredo's name will remain on the November ballot.
American Constitution Party gubernatorial candidate Tom Tancredo, took the stand Monday to explain the circumstances of why he left the Republican Party in order to run a last-minute campaign for governor.
The former Republican congressman was responding to a lawsuit filed by two Republicans, Joe Harrington and Marian Olson, who claim Tancredo violated state law when he got the American Constitution Party's nomination do to the fact that he wasn’t registered with them for at least 12 months. They added, that a third party is interfering in the election process and could create confusion and chaos in the November election because of last-minute changes to the ballot.
Dick Kaufman, Tancredo's attorney, argued that the state legislature has made many exceptions for smaller political parties that lack the resources to hold large state conventions.
