Former U.S. Sen. Hank Brown, one of the first establishment Republicans to back Maes after his primary win last month, withdrew his support today due to a report that Maes may have embellished his resume when describing undercover work he did as a police officer in Liberal, Kan. 25 years ago."I'm concerned about the revelations. I'm withdrawing my endorsement," Brown said. "I'm beginning to find that Maes explanations are not adequate."
