Voters uneasy with Hickenlooper's ability to lead

Voters in Colorado appear to be leaning Blue in this year's gubernatorial race with Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper capturing 36% while Republican candidate Dan Maes captured 24%. Tom Tancredo trails both with 14% in the latest Rasmussen poll.

But some 26% of Colorado voters are unsure of who to vote for governor. Which ever candidate manages to capture voters' hearts could pull off a solid win.

Amongst registered Republican voters in Colorado, nearly one-in-four are undecided, placing Maes in a tough spot where his political party will have to do all they can in order to sway them at the polls come election day. Yet Maes' political machine may be running out of steam and cash.

Also hurting Maes chances were charges of political corruption and the drilling attack from Tancredo.  - More -
