Sen. Bennet on national security

Sen. Michael Bennet used a bomber backdrop at Wings Over the Rockies museum to lay out guidelines for his national security decisions, saying the U.S. should avoid the “enormously costly venture” of nation-building.

Bennet said the nation’s primary work in Afghanistan should be to “finish helping Afghanistan secure itself from outside threats and to better govern its borders.” The U.S. must also work with Pakistan to secure that nation’s nuclear weapons from potential terrorists.     More -
