Adams County Treasurer Diane Christner will not face embezzlement charges

Adams County Treasurer Diane Christner will not be prosecuted for felony embezzlement of public property for her use of a county-owned copy machine to make 2,000 campaign fliers in September.

Adams County District Attorney Don Quick said Friday there is "insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Ms. Christner 'knowingly' converted public property to be her own."

Christner, who has admitted that she used government printers and paper to create 2,000 campaign fliers, has reimbursed the county.
