Colorado's Lt. Gov-elect resigns as president of CSU Pueblo.

Colorado's Lt. Gov.-elect Joe Garcia has a new job, so he has resigned as president of Colorado State University-Pueblo.

The CSU System Board of Governors accepted Garcia's resignation Wednesday, the day after Democrat John Hickenlooper won the governor's race. Hickenlooper chose Garcia as his running mate during the summer.

The CSU board will conduct a national search for Garcia's permanent replacement. The president of CSU's flagship Fort Collins campus, Tony Frank, is filling in until an interim president is appointed, expected by the end of November.
