The Denver Business Journal reports that state Sen. Morgan Carroll, the chairwoman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has joined The Sawaya Law Firm, the practice announced Thursday.
Carroll, an Aurora Democrat and chairwoman of the Senate Majority Caucus, has worked for roughly a decade for Bradley & Carroll, a firm the legislator started with her mother. A trial lawyer, she specializes in workers' compensation issues and disability advocacy in the areas of Social Security, long-term disability and personal injury.
"It is my goal to help ordinary people know and enforce their rights," Carroll said in a statement."By joining with Michael Sawaya and Mike Kaplan at The Sawaya Law Firm, I am joining a firm that has proven they also care about these values and will support me in achieving these goals."
