Rep. Coffman presents Congressional Awards to local students

Rep. Mike Coffman (R-CD6) presented two Sixth District high school students last week with 2010 Congressional Award Medals. Caleb Bacon and Hunter Gill of Centennial and Highlands Ranch, respectively, were recognized for challenging themselves and making lasting contributions to their community through four achievement areas: voluntary public service, personal development, physical fitness, and expedition.

“Caleb and Hunter both have bright futures ahead of them,” said Coffman. “They took the initiative to make a difference in their communities, and these awards reflect that. I congratulate them on the work they did to win these awards, I am confident they are destined to be pillars of our community.”

The Congressional Award is the United States Congress' annual award for young Americans. It is a non-partisan program, open to all young people between the ages 14 and 23.
