State Senate GOP launches ‘Senate Confirmation Center’

Friday, Senate Republicans launched a resource center on their website titled Senate Confirmation Center to give Colorado citizens the opportunity to follow the Senate confirmation process.

“The Colorado Senate has a Constitutional obligation to confirm executive appointments,” said Senate Republican Leader Mike Kopp. “This process must be constructive and transparent so the General Assembly and the people of Colorado understand the direction the Governor’s administration wishes to take us.”

“It is critical that the people of Colorado have an opportunity to follow the confirmation process of executive appointments,” said Assistant Minority Bill Cadman. “Creating more transparency in government has been a focus of the Senate Republicans agenda. We believe this is an important step in achieving that goal.”

The Senate Confirmation Center offers the resumes of the Governor’s appointments, an overview of the department they will lead and copy of the questions submitted by the Senate Republican caucus.
