Former Colorado Springs Vice Mayor Richard Skorman will formally announce his candidacy to be the next mayor of Colorado Springs at a news conference to be held this evening in the Carnegie Room of the Penrose Library.As vice mayor, Skorman was the only Democrat on the Colorado Springs city council. Skorman left his position to serve as Senator Ken Salazar's regional office director.
