Colorado Springs to face runoff election for mayor

Steve Bach and Richard Skorman will face each other in a second round of voting on May 17th to decide who will be Colorado Springs first strong mayor.

In Tuesday's race, none of the seven mayoral candidates running received the majority of votes needed to win the election. Now, the already cash strapped city will have to spend an estimated $480 thousand on a runoff election.

The winner of the runoff election will become Colorado Springs first strong mayor under the new form of city government approved by voters last November.
