Weld District Attorney Ken Buck will return his salary to the county for the next two months while he campaigns for the U.S. Senate.
In a letter drafted to Weld County commissioners today, Buck stated he would return his salary collected for September and October.
“The District Attorney's office joins the county commissioner and other county elected official sin championing fiscal responsibility,” Buck wrote. “Campaigning for the United States Senate is a time-consuming endeavor, and I believe it appropriate to return my salary to the Weld County taxpayers.”
Buck earns $140,000 a year, with two months of that being $23,333, or $11,666 per month. - More -
