Republican Senate hopeful Jane Norton lashed out at primary foe Ken Buck in Colorado Springs Wednesday by calling him soft on immigration.
Later in the day, Democratic hopeful Andrew Romanoff came to the city and pledged to keep his campaign pure by shunning money from political action committees, countering claims that he would take corporate cash from a party-run interest group.
With most of Colorado shifting to mail ballots for the primary, El Paso County is one place that will have voters heading to the polls Tuesday. For candidates in the primary — Republicans and Democrats — that makes Colorado Springs a campaign keystone heading into the election.
“Many voters across the state have already voted,” Norton said after she stopped downtown to pick up the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce endorsement and take another swing at Buck in the bitter battle for the GOP nomination. – More -
