Gov.-elect John Hickenlooper gave the introductory remarks on Monday, to the 46th annual Colorado Business Economic Outlook Forum in Denver.
Hickenlooper told the gathering of business people that the recession impacting America’s economy will continue to hamper conditions in Colorado.
“This recession is already deeper and will be considerably bigger than any recession we’ve had since the 1930s,” Hickenlooper said.
After the Governor-elect was done, a local business owner, who wished to remain un-named , was overheard saying “considering the recession was over a year ago, it makes you wonder if Hickenlooper understands anything about economics at all.”
Perhaps it's a double dip recession and the're not telling us.
